Artificial Intelligence is evolving fast, and quantum computing is emerging as the key to solving complex challenges beyond classical limits. The World Quantum Summit 2025 will explore how this powerful convergence is transforming industries like cybersecurity, finance, pharmaceutical, logistics, and energy. Featuring a fully subsidised 2-day certified workshop(for Singaporeans and PR), expert panels, networking sessions, and live demos, the summit offers strategic insights and hands-on knowledge to help organizations stay ahead in the next era of intelligent computing
The World Quantum Summit 2025 is a gateway to the future of computing, where quantum technologies and AI converge to drive real-world innovation. As these technologies transition from research to application, the summit offers a rare chance to gain early insights, practical knowledge, and strategic foresight.
Bringing together tech leaders, researchers, policymakers, and investors, the event features expert-led discussions, demos, and high-value networking. It’s the ideal platform to explore use cases, exchange ideas, and shape the next wave of intelligent systems.
This course will be conducted by Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) which aims to introduce participants to the concepts of quantum and quantum-inspired computing, starting with an overview of artificial intelligence (AI) and its impact on our world. It will demonstrate how quantum and quantum-inspired algorithms can further enhance AI growth.
Participants will learn the principles of quantum physics and their application to computing, as well as the current state of quantum computing for AI, including its challenges and possibilities. The course will explore use cases for both quantum and quantum-inspired algorithms, with a significant focus on the potential and limitations of quantum-inspired algorithms.
Additionally, participants will gain hands-on experience in implementing quantum logic gates using online platforms and identifying industry-relevant AI and quantum algorithms for business applications
Who should attend
The course is open to anybody interested in quantum algorithms and technologies. Particularly suited for data scientists, AI enthusiasts, and people in management positions. No previous knowledge is required, although an affinity with mathematics and programming could help the participant.
Prerequisites
Basic mathematics knowledge
Some understanding of computer science
Certification
All participants who complete the workshop will receive a Certificate of Completion issued by the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).
Trainers
Associate Prof Dario POLETTI - Head of Cluster (Science, Mathematics and Technology)
Associate Professor Dario Poletti is the Head of the Science, Mathematics and Technology (SMT) cluster at SUTD. He joined SUTD in 2012 as part of the Freshmore curriculum team and has since contributed significantly to both pedagogy and research. He received his joint PhD in Physics from NUS and the Australian National University, after earning master’s degrees in Nuclear Engineering (Politecnico di Milano) and Applied Physics (École Centrale Paris). His research focuses on Complex Quantum Systems—covering quantum transport, thermodynamics, chaos, and computing—alongside advanced numerical methods and machine learning applications. He has published over 100 papers in leading journals, including Nature and Physical Review Letters. Notable honors include MIT Technology Review’s Innovators Under 35 Asia Pacific (2015) and the IOP Outstanding Referee Award (2017).
Raghunath Koduvayur - Chief Executive Officer, RAQS Quantum,Senior Adjunct Fellow, Singapore University of Technology and Design
The third day of the event brings delegates from the workshop to a conference setting and shifts focus from theory to action. Designed to open the eyes of delegates to the rapidly emerging practical world of quantum, the conference showcases real-world applications, national strategies, and cross-sector use cases that are already reshaping industries.
Through keynote talks, live demonstrations, and dynamic panel discussions, participants will explore how quantum is transitioning from labs to live deployments across sectors like finance, biomedicine, logistics, and energy. With Singapore positioned as a bridge between East and West in the quantum landscape, the conference also highlights strategic frameworks and collaborative opportunities that will define the next phase of global innovation.
